Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Fidelity Bank Plc, Mr. Nnamdi Okonkwo visited the Balogun Business Association (BBA) branch following Sunday’s tragic explosion in Abule Ado, Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area (LGA) of Lagos State.

The visit was primarily to assess the extent of damage to the branch and commiserate with victims of the incident. Accompanied by other Executive Management staff, MD who visited the affected market areas was received by the leaders of BBA, Auto Spare Parts and Machinery Dealers Association (ASPAMDA) and Association of Progressive Traders (APT).

The MD/CEO prayed for the repose of the souls of those who died in the explosion and disclosed the bank’s readiness to make some token contributions to members of the traders’ associations whose shops and properties were destroyed.

Meanwhile, MD has instructed Corporate Services to commence repairs and restoration of the affected branch. He also stated that staff of BBA branch will be moved to the nearby APT and ASPAMDA branch locations.

Normal operations are expected to commence soon.
